Members’ support

The CPA institute proactively communicates with its members in a variety of formats, with increasing emphasis on the use of information technology. Public Accountancy, the institute’s official journal it is planned will be supported by quarterly eBulletins to members. The institute website contains technical information and guidance for members on topics such as auditing and accounting standards and Companies Acts.

Comprehensive and relevant technical support is provided for all members with the Practice Advisory Service providing specialist support for members in practice on a broad range of topics.

The institute relies on IFAC publications which can be accessed on the IFAC website. The comprehensive IFAC ‘Code of Professional Ethics, Conduct and Practice.’ publication guides CPA members in all professional dealings with clients, colleagues and members of other professional institutes in the same line of business.

The industry-specific focus groups and network groups provide excellent discussion and networking occasions for members facing common challenges and opportunities.

Amongst the more tangible benefits are affinity schemes with insurance and other financial services providers. CPA has Professional Indemnity Insurance cover for its members in Public Practice.
